The Hole is a raw art space at 312 Bowery, just north of Houston, that houses an interesting roster of experimental exhibitions as well as organizes numerous events and community services. Right now through April 24th, The Hole has turned its indoor space into a beautiful, pacifying room that makes you believe you are outdoors and have literally stepped into one of Monet’s garden at Giverny water garden paintings. You become one with the garden as you can walk over the Japanese foot bridge and lie on the grass near the lily pads. The project is funded by Playboy.com and it’s evident by the thought provoking juxtaposition pictures incorporated into the piece. Check it out as it’s around for only two more weeks.
