Last night I made my way back to Tortilla Flats with my friend Jen to some good Mexican food and a few rounds of Bingo. Tortilla Flats is an oldy and good which is located on the cusp of Meatpacking and the West Village, a perfect location to draw the fun party crowd as well as the crowd that commands more from their food and drinks than what is served at the standard watering hole. Both of which Tortilla Flats delivers on.
The one room (did I mention small?) restaurant does get rowdy especially on their game nights and with the help of their strong drinks (Monday and Tuesday nights are Bingo night; Wednesday is Hula night and Sunday – well, I’m not sure what it is but it’s worth the trip to check it out). Jen and I showed up at 7:30pm and got a table right away but any later and any larger of a party, there will be a wait for some amount of time. They only take reservations for parties of 8 or more and there is outdoor seating which is perfect for people watching but not ideal if you want to partake in Bingo. It does get loud but I think it’s a great place for a few friends or even a third or fourth date. This was Jen’s 1st time there and would definitely go back!
you need to invite me! lol!
